Hi. My name's Amy and I'm a wedding and event planner. I have planned events, mainly specializing in weddings, however I have planned events from Christmas to corporate, and I'm going to give you some tips that I hope will help for you to plan events in the future.

Hi. I'm going to talk to you about how to plan a themed wedding. A theme for your wedding can be anything from a color theme, all the way to a full theme, depending on how far you want to go with this.

You could organize something, for example, like a Best of British theme, and organize so that you have a color scheme of red, white, and blue, maybe with white chair covers, but red and blue sashes. You could also organize to have like an afternoon tea style canapés or strawberries and cream for your dessert. These kinds of ideas will obviously keep in mind with the theme that you've got.

A little bit different, a bit of a quirky idea, and something that everyone will relate to. I have worked with a couple before who were self-named Goths. They organized to have their wedding when Halloween fell on a weekend, and they had everything themed for a Gothic Halloween style wedding.

They organized it at a venue that was very quirky, very eerie, had lots of candlelight, lots of dark colors. We renamed the menus in order to give them a slightly Halloween style wording to them. But you could take this down just as far as just having a color theme.

For example, if you organized to have a certain color for your bridesmaid's dresses, you could then reflect that color in your floor decorations. You could have that as the sash color for your chair covers, or you could organize this as a strip of ribbon across your napkins. Just different things to infuse that color into your day.

You could go with a theme for your table names. It's normally a good idea to try and keep this something original, something that your guests will relate to as something that means something to you. You could organize to have, for example, different languages.

You know, a different language for each table for the word love, or marriage, and have a little quote of a different custom of that country. It might have a little bit of information for people, but it is a nice idea. I've worked with a couple before who had a London underground tube map as their table plan.

Each table was named after a tube line, and where you would normally see your usual tube stops of, you know, Oxford Circus and Victoria, they actually had those changed for guests' names, which is quite a quirky, nice idea. So I hope that this has helped in helping you to plan a themed wedding. .
