Top Tips

  • There are lots of different ways to play scales, but practice starting each scale with your first finger and with your second finger.
  • The shapes of the scales are the same, it just depends which note you start with. So to play a D major , start on a D, to play a G major, start on a G.
  • Pentatonic scales are 5 note scales. They leave out the dissonant notes of the major and minor scales.
