How To Play Beer Games: Thumper

Thumper is a table-pounding good time. It's also one of the most challenging beer games. You'll need to stay sharp to win a round of thumper.

Step 1: You will need

  • Players
  • Beer
  • Table

Come up with a motion. It should be simple… short… and easy to remember. Whatever motion you choose, it's your trademark and your calling card. Now give everybody else a chance to memorize it.

Now everybody pounds the table. And somebody yells: What's the name of the game? Thumper! Why do we play? Get drunk!

The leader does his own gesture… then another guy's. If it's your gesture he does… you go next. Do yours first, then somebody else's. Then it's their turn. Until somebody messes up -- and has to drink!
