Here is a walk-through description of how to get started on the racing game Forza 4. With this video, you can get to your first race.
Another popular type of video game is the racing genre. It's got interesting hard core simulation or arcade games. Today, I'm going to look at Forza 4 with some getting-started tips.
So, when you start Forza 4, you're taken to the main menu. Press A to start the game. You're then given the option to sign in with your gamer profile and this is how Forza 4 will save your progress, so you need to pick a profile.
I'll be picking this here. You can then pick a manufacturer. This determines which cars you're going to pick in the next stage.
Once you've done that, you can select some cars from that manufacturer. Once you've got the one you like, just press A. This will then load the car, give you a preview of what it looks like.
You can choose what color and again, once you're happy with that, you press A. Then you've got a number of different options for the race which enable you to specify how difficult it's going to be or how the car handles. So, you need to set these depending on your ability.
Once you've done that, you can just press A. And then, you're on to picking where you're going to race. Pick the track, press A again and the race starts.
So, you can see here, I've got the racing lines. They're switched on. Just the green set of arrows I'm following.
They'll change color if I go too fast towards the corner like I did there. I had to brake to bring that back to green. They go red when you're going too fast.
And on the screen, you've got lots of different display items to help you know where you are on the track. There's a little map at the bottom left and a speedo down to the bottom right. As you can see, I'm currently placed 9th.
In the top right, there's readout. Now, Forza 4, again, is up the graphical detail so you see more crowd around the track, see more detail in the cars, themselves. They look more realistic.
And also, they handle more realistically as well. So, there you go. I've talked you through getting started on Forza 4, choosing a manufacturer, a car, picking your first track and having your first race. .
