How To Play Guitar Hero Like A Pro
Step 1: Warm It Up
From the main menu... select Training, then try Practice or Tutorial modes to get your fingers warmed up. Rock stars look lame with carpal tunnel so try a few basic stretches before you wow the masses.
Step 2: Play It Safe
Pick your song… but remember… your favorite freedom rock anthem may be out of your skill range. Play it safe… at least to start. Pick a song you can handle. The Skill Levels are: Easy, using the first three Fret Buttons; Medium, using four Frets Buttons; Hard, which uses all five Fret Buttons; Expert which uses all five Fret Buttons, Triple Cords, and alternating notes plus a few surprises.
Step 3: Choose Wisely
It's time to let your alter ego come out and play. Select the rock star that suits your style and accessorize him with one of the guitars from the gallery.
Step 4: On Your Mark, Get Set, Rock!
These notes are coming at you rapid-fire. Hold down the matching colored Fret Button and hit the Strum Bar with your thumb to play it.
Use the strum bar in both directions. It's crucial to your success - especially at higher levels.
Step 5: Star Power
Take a look at your Rock Meter on the bottom right corner of the screen. If its green, you're cool. But if you're in the red... use your Star Power. Tilt your guitar up, Slash-style, and keep nailing those notes. This can double your points.
The Best Times To Use Star Power are:
If your rock meter is red or flashing red...
If your current score multiplier is x3 or x4 and you're kicking ass... OR
If there are a lot of notes coming up you know you can nail. Don't waste Star Power on sections where no notes are coming up.
Step 6: The Whammy
Cash in on long notes. Grab the whammy bar. Wobble it back and forth to sweeten those killer riffs. After a series of long star notes, jam on the whammy bar.
Step 7: Rock On!
Practice makes perfect… so keep at it. You'll be surprised at how fast you can go from fret fumbling to fierce fingering. And who knows...you may even get an encore.
Tips & Comments
I already did those things... I thought I was going to learn something about mastering expert mode...
ok, this movie is good for beginners.. and i mean major beginners.. but the title is deceiving. it says play like a pro.. not learn how to play. oh well.. i was hoping to find some actual advice in here lol.
yes u can get guitar hero on wii, there is a game called guitar hero 3 and it has slash =P
the Whammy Bar doesnt give you extra points on held notes unless it is a star note otherwise it doesnt give you anything extra this video sucked waste of time
can u get guaitar hero on wii?
well, using the whammy can add star power which increase score... so...i think the video is correct
i always thought that if you whammy fast you get more points.. might test it. and if you whammy on held star power notes then yes it fills up the light bulbs further, test it.
YOU GUYS ARE RETARDS WHAMMY DOES NOT GIVE POINTS!! the reason you got 27 more points was because you let go of the long not early...
eh whammy bar gives FEW points. i tested a note with and without but it was only a matter of like 27 points for a 8 count note. =\
whammy adds no points...period...the only thing it does is when you have a long star power note you can use whammy to extract more star power
