How To Play Table Tennis On Wii

Hi, I'm Ross the Nintendo Specialist here and game head office. I'm entitled to show you how to play table tennis on Wii Sports Resort. Okay, so first of all, once I put the Sports Resort disk into my console, it's loaded up to its main screen.

And I've calibrated the controller which includes now the Wii motion plus by placing it on a flat surface like that which calibrates ready for play. Okay, so once you are on the main screen, select the table tennis option. I will have a one player match.

You can see you can play a two player match but today I'm just going to demostrate single player. And again, just like playing real table tennis, hold the controller as if you were holding a table tennis pad. Select your Wii character the one you want to use.

And I'm right handed and I'm ready to face the computer. Okay, see here now, I'm against Cole, he's level 13. The farther you get into the game, the harder the competitors get against you.

Okay, so point the Wii remote to the screen where it says press the A button which is situated on the top of the controller and we're ready to go. So again, as you can see with my movement, the player moves left or right so I can serve forehand or backhand, so I'll stay with forehand, throw the ball up and there we go. So again, with wrist motion, if the ball goes down, you can place either a topspin or backspin on the ball.

And again, the harder you hit it, the harder the ball with go back to your competitor. So again, it's 5 to 6 points for the match and you get two serves each before it switches to the other person. So there you go, that's how you play table tennis on Wii Sports Resort.
