How To Play The Acoustic Guitar
Have you always wanted to play the Acoustic Guitar but have no idea where to begin? Don't worry as we are going to show you an easy couple of chords that anyone can turn into a simple riff and play with just five minutes practice! Impress your friends by learning the acoustic guitar basics.
The first chord is an E, and is played by placing your first finger on the 3rd String at the 1st Fret, your, 2nd finger on the 5th String at the 2nd Fret, and your 3rd finger on the 3rd String at the 2nd Fret. Then simply strum downwards on all 6 strings.
The second chord to play is an A7, and is played by placing your 2nd finger on the 4th String at the 2nd Fret, and your 3rd finger on the 2nd String at the 2nd Fret. Then strum downwards on strings 5 to 1, avoiding string 6 at the top.
You then need to put these two chords together by playing the E chord for 4 beats, and then the A7 for 4 beats. You can vary the rhythm with which you strum the strings to change the sound of the riff.
To finish this simple couple of bars off, just play the E chord for 2 beats, and then the A7 for 2 beats, before quickly changing back to the E chord for one final strum!
