How To Play The Chord Of A Major On The Guitar

To play the A Major chord, place your index finger on the second fret, D string, your middle finger again on the second fret but this time on the G string and your ring finger on the B string, 2nd fret again.
All fingers are on the second fret. Strum down smoothly to play the chord. Then try strumming down and up to perfect the chord.
Here are some useful tips. Squeeze the fingers in to the second fret and drop the thumb down behind the neck to line up with the first finger. Keep your fingers tunnelled so that you are playing on the tips.
