Hi. I'm John from Auto Valet UK, the UK's leading car valeting company. Today we're going to give you some tips on how to maintain your vehicle and keep it in pristine condition.

Hi. Today I'm going to show you how to polish your vehicle. You need a microfiber cloth, slightly damped.

You need a microfiber cloth; don't use too much polish. Apply polish to your cloth and dab spots over the vehicle. Then start from the top of the vehicle, working your way across the panel in straight lines, applying the polish.

Once the polish has been applied, allow it to dry, ensuring that you get inside the handles, on the handle. Allow the polish to set. Depending on weather conditions, this could take anything up to five to ten minutes.

The warmer the weather is, the less time it will take for the polish to set. Once it has set, get a clean microfiber cloth and buff off to the desired shine, again not applying too much pressure. It's more in the technique rather than the pressure that you put in.

We would recommend that you polish the whole vehicle, though we would recommend that you polish each panel individually, clearing any excess wax and dried off haziness that was produced by the polish and the wax. Once you've done this, we recommend that you use another clean microfiber cloth to go over the same area and buff until you get the desired shine from the vehicle. The longer you buff, the more of a shine you will receive from the vehicle.

It's important to use a good quality polish that is suited to the vehicle's paintwork. And this is how we polish and wax a vehicle. .
