When trying to pop a wheelie on a motorcycle, one of the first things to do is make sure that you've got a lot of protective clothing on because it doesn't matter that how good you think you are, you can easily fall off. And we found this, it happens to the best of us. So, always, first thing to wear is wear a proper helmet.
Next thing is get yourself in the right position on the bike. You can't just open the throttle and expect the front wheel to come up in the air. But, really, you need to sit a little bit further back on the machine if you're doing a sit-down wheelie.
Sit a little bit near the back of the bike. Have your foot ready on the back break. Sit towards the back of the bike and open the throttle.
Snap the throttle open, and the front wheel should come up in the air nicely if you sit in the right area. If your back wheel skids, then, just ease off, whack the throttle open again. Give it a bit of a tug on the bike as you're doing it, and the front wheel should come up in the air.
If the wheel starts to come up too high, tap your foot on the back break. That'll bring the front wheel back down again. In case you never listened to that, just have a look at some wheelie in action.
Once you've popped the wheel, let go of throttle, and the front wheel will come back down. And you can ride away looking cool! .
