Ingredients

Step 1: Holding The Glass

As you begin to pull the Guinness tap, the first detail is to hold the Guinness glass at a 45 degree angle. This the drink gathering up at the base of the glass, due to the impact, and forming an awful froth (in other words, pure head, no drink!)

Step 2: Filling Up The Glass

Fill up the glass 2/3 full only. This allows the Guinness to settle.

Step 3: Leaving The Drink To Settle

Leave the drink to settle for roughly a minute, or however long it takes for the drink to turn completely black, except for the head.

Step 4: The Second Pour

Once the drink has settled, gently fill it to the top.
