I am going to talk to you today about what are you going to do if you have a bad breath.
The most common cause of bad breath is actually a problem within the mouth or the teeth. Often it is the case of not having brushed your teeth properly or not using good dental hygiene.
What happens is sugary food or food debris are left in between the teeth or in the back of the mouth and this allows bacteria to form in mouth. The bacteria grow and produce the smell of bad breath.
Therefore the first thing to look at if you are suffering from bad breath is your teeth brushing routine.
Obviously it is important to brush your teeth twice a day but also it is important to floss in order to remove any of the trapped food & also to use any mouth wash that can help not only to demise the symptoms of bad breath but also to take away any food debris that might be left.
As well as using a tooth brush and a tooth paste you can buy at the chemist an Italian scrape bar. This is special plastic tool that you use to scrape the back of the tongue in order to remove any food debris which is some time left which again can perpetuate the bad smell.
Many people found this really helps with bad breath.
Another common reason why people have bad breath is smoking. It's not the smell of the smoke but again it effects the mouth hygiene and allows bacteria to grow within the mouth and cause bad breath.
Bad breath is sometimes caused by medication and if you are taking medication you have noticed that you have bad breath, it is worth speaking to a doctor about this. Anti depressants are particularly something that causes bad breath.
Having a dry mouth is another reason why your breath can smell.
The saliva actually clears bacteria and clears any infections that may be there and if your mouth is particularly dry either because you are dehydrated or because you are living or working with air conditioning on that can also work in conditioning bad breath. So have a look at the environment around you that could actually be worsening the problem.
There are very few medical problems that causes bad breath but sometimes people suffer because they have an infection in their throat or people who have a chronic sinusitis experience bad breath because of the post nasal drip they experience at the back of the mouth.
