Step 1: You will need
Step 2: Reverse
Turn the duvet cover inside out.
Step 3: Find the corners
Place your hands up inside the duvet and find the two top corners - as if the duvet cover is one huge hand puppet.
Step 4: Grab the duvet
Keeping your hands inside the cover, hold onto the top corners of the duvet - one per hand. Hold tightly - this is crucial for the next step.

Tips & Comments
really? i've been crawling inside my duvet cover and wrestling with it for years now and this is the proper way to do it? wow.
Is there any tool for putting on duvet covers?
I thought it would be much more difficult with a king size, but it helped when I actually stood on the bed to give some height for the duvet to fall straight down. Then the duvet cover was able to fall over it easily.
nowadays the duvets have little hole rather than one opened side, and that makes it very difficult to put on a duvet esp a king size! Thanks to those thoughful designers!! >:(
Just love it. if i can do it anyone can
How do you do this with king-size
tThe video is absoultely the best, I have always dreaded putting the cover back on after laundring, I played the video and was done in nearly the same amount of time as the video. It was very easy. It actually took longer to button it than it did to put it on. Thanks so much!!!!
I call it the basket method and requires little dexterity or upper body strenth. First make sure the duvet cover is open end up close to the duvet on the bed. Ideally the duvet cover is gathered neatly but unfolded and flat on the bed at the end of the bed. The duvet is in a heap close by. Gather the four corners of the duvet so it forms a crumpled ball. Drop the ball into the open end of the duvet cover still holding on to the corners of the duvet in one hand (much like a diaper...) With the free hand find the bottom corner of the Duvet cover from under and outside of the duvet cover. Push this corner toward the other hand that has the corners of the duvet in it's grasp. Through the fabric of the duvet cover grasp the corresponding corner of the duvet from the hand holding on to the duvet corners. Release to the hand through the fabric the one corner of the duvet, pull the fabric and the duvet back from the remaining duvet corners still in the grasp of the first hand. Continue likewise wit the other three corners in turn. Start with the bottom corners then the ones adjacent to the opening of the Duvet cover. Still all crumpled and if you can't lift and shake like on the video you can with this method just drag each cornetr out to its furthers dimension in turn across the bed. When mostly spread out and flat lift the duvet cover only from the center like a tent. Hold it for a second then qickly fall back onto or down onto the duvet cover. The displaced air from tent to 'push down' will puff out the feather cells prontop for a warm light and good looking duvet and cover!
Great video. I have been doing it for years in this way. There is an easier way for less muscular and or shorter people. It is not as elegant but works as fast or faster. And you you do not need to turn the duvet cover inside out either.
MUCH EASIER THAN MY WAY. tHANKS!
