How To Put Your First Song On Your iPod

Whether it's Elvis Presley or The Beatles, this video will give you expert advice on how to put your first song on your iPod. Play your favorite songs first with VideoJug's helpful advice.

Step 1: You Will Need

iPod
USB Connector Cable
Head Phones
Computer with iTunes Software Downloaded

Step 2: Out Of The Box

In your iPod box, you will find a USB iPod dock connector cable you will use for charging and syncing music from your computer to your iPod. You will also find headphones and small spongy coverings for the ear buds, called headphone socks. Fit them snugly onto the ear buds.

Step 3: Grab Your Favorite CD

Insert the CD into your computer's CD drive.
Launch iTunes and wait for the dialog box to appear. You DON'T want to import right now.

Step 4: Uncheck The Unwanted

On the left side of your iTunes screen you will see check marks next to each track on your CD.
Move your mouse over each box with a check mark and click on each track that you DON'T want to import into iTunes.
Your song that you want to import should be the only track with a check mark next to it.

Step 5: Import Your Song

Click on the Import button in the iTunes window and your song will be imported into your iTunes and ready to play on your new iPod.
You are almost ready to listen to your song!

Step 6: Connect Your iPod

Take USB cable that was included in your iPod box and plug one end of it into your computer and the other into the bottom of your iPod.
As your new iPod imports your song, a "Do Not Disconnect" symbol will flash on your screen. This means hands off until your iTunes completes the sync and notifies you at the top of the iTunes screen.

Step 7: Disconnect, Turn Up And Tune Out

Now that you have your favorite song on your brand new iPod, disconnect the USB cable, plug in your new headphones and start dancing.
Done.
