Now, to actually rainbow tie dye a garment, to me, it's very complicated and you've got to really know what you're doing depending on how many colours you actually require on the rainbow to be.

So, a rough idea is if you want 4 or 5 different colours and particular colours to go on the garment, you need to actually perform probably about 20 elastic bands on a garment. Then, dye a colour, take every other elastic band off and tie of the dyed place and re-dye again and same procedure just keeps on carrying on until you put the full colour on there. So, the end results it will give you is when you've taken all your elastic bands off, you will have white, you will have yellow, you will have blue, you will have the mixture of white and yellow and blue that will give you a line colour and then you will have a mixture of the blue and the pink so you might even get a purple colour as fourth or fifth colours, and that's how you achieve a rainbow colour. .
