You can tell a lot about a man his shoes. If he's sporting a pair of classic wingtips, here's what his shoes may be telling you.

Step 1: His Laces

Usually guys that wear this type of shoe are very traditional. The bigger the laces, the more youthful childlike; the smaller and thinner laces mean the man has lost touch with his boyhood.

Step 2: His Sole

Really look at the soles. A lot of companies are coming out with integrated technologies to make these shoes more comfortable. The whole "they're comfortable" excuse for wearing marshmallow shoes is out of the books because now wingtips are a much more comfortable. If you see little swirls and lots of details, that shows an attention to detail - that's the type of guy that just might remember your anniversary.

Step 3: Top Tip

Say the majority of his shoes are wingtips, that means he's very concentrated on work; he's moving forward. And if that feels good to you, encourage that. But if you want a guy who takes off a little bit more time, you might want to start introducing a few more play shoes into his closet.
