How To Reduce Cellulite
Beauty therapist Sarah Chapman shows you how to reduce cellulite, a common skin problem which as yet has no permanent cure.
Step 1: What is cellulite?
Cellulite affects 80% of women and is caused by factors such as poor diet and lack of exercise.
It is the accumulation of toxins and fatty deposits that get trapped in the fat cells and pull on the surface of the skin.
Step 2: Drink water
Drinking water flushes out toxins, so you should drink 2 litres, or about eight cups, of water a day. It also helps the body to function more efficiently, helping with circulation and drainage.
Step 3: Lifestyle
To reduce cellulite drink less coffee, alcohol, and reduce the levels of fat in your diet, Try to exercise regularly and drink plenty of water.
Step 4: Dry body brushing
Use a dry body bristle brush which can be bought from a chemist or pharmacy. Start at your feet and massage your whole body working upwards towards the heart. Massage your body with deep, long strokes, focusing on the areas prone to cellulite.

Finding a good program is the best way to go.
I agree with punkerbeans. I am 5'3, 107lbs, workout 4-5 days a week (run, gym, weights, squats.....a good mix), eat very healthy and I have still began to develop cellulite in the last year. After talking with my OBGYN about it because it really bothered me, she informed me that genetics play the biggest role in whether women have cellulite or not. I am not saying that some of these tricks might not help, or that a healthy diet doesn't affect it, but these tricks are not going to make it dissapear. We have to learn to live and deal with it. I used to be really embarassed about it because I have never had to deal with it until recently, but now I have developed an "I don't give a sh*t" attitude, because I do everything that I should for my body and still have flaws. I think that's what more of us need to do! :o) Love what you've got.
She's full of s**t. Cellulite is genetic. Every woman has fat - some women show it on cottage cheese thighs. I've seen fat ladies with waaay less cellulite than me. I'm 110 lbs, 5'4", look fantastic IN clothes, work out 3-4 days a week, eat healthy and maybe I don't get enough water, but I sure have some cottage cheese thighs. GENETICS! It's because every woman in my family has it, not because of my lifestyle/diet. Of course a better diet and drinking water is good for you - as is exercise. Drinking water will not flush fat anywhere...christ people will believe anything. I guess that's why there is a diet industry. Remember, exercise is free! Get out and do some lunges, run, walk the dog, yoga in the park...just stop being lazy and looking for the easy cure.

I had really bad cellulite....started drinking more water to help eat/drink better. I used to be a coca-cola girl...anyways..it's decreasing. The water thing and exercise really REALLY helps. She is not full of it. The brushing I haven't tried.
What Sarah doesnt say is that you can be genetically disposed to getting cellulite so if the rest of your family dont have it you could be one of the lucky few. Also cellulite is more common for women of some races than it is for others. So even if you are fit you may just be disposed to get it and may always suffer with it. Though following Sarahs advice will improve your cellulite. Another treatment is called Dermologie which I personally use and see much improvement. Dermologie is a process which boosts circulation and massages problem areas thus breaking down the cellulite. The important thingis to remember MANY women suffer with cellulite, even celebrities who have unlimited resources and money at thir disposal to rid themselves of it, so, it really is normal to have cellulite - whether we like it or not - we shouldnt feel embarassed or ashamed or let those that dont have it make us negative about out bodies.
I came across this trying to find a solution for ever single friend of mine. What shes trying to say for al of you who are confused is. Reguardless if your thin or not that doesnt mean your not high in fat as far as your life. There is a huge difference from being fit and thin. I know alot of girls who are thin and have saggy cellulite thighs. You need to drink alot of water and develop a healthier lifestyle. People in my family are all fit and NONE of us have cellulite.
