Because you don't live in an advert. Three out of four of us have health and emotional problems caused by stress at work, but there are practical things you can do to stress down, so don't despair.

Take Steps To Reduce Your Stress

Now you will have heard a lot of this before, but if you actually do it it really will help. Look after your body. Coffee, cigarettes, and alcohol might be tempting, but they actually make things worse. Take time out to relax, even if it's just a few minutes a day. Burn off stress with regular exercise. You don't have to be an athlete, a quick walk at lunchtime will do. And finally, share your worries with someone. Stress is nothing to be ashamed of. Speak to a friend, your manager, or even your GP. Stressing down needn't be a fantasy, you can make it happen.
