How To Reinstall Outlook Express

Hi. My name is Steve Ling from PC Paramedics. I'm going to give you some useful hints and tips to get more out of your computer-using experience.

A number of you may have been exploring the various web browsers that are now available to you, and may also have been looking at the number of email clients that have been available to you, and could well have, perhaps, uninstalled Outlook Express. You also might want to put Outlook Express back on the PC, so I'm going to take you through the very simple procedure of reinstalling Outlook Express without Windows. For this, we simply click on Start, click on the Control Panel, and click on Add/Remove Programs.

Once Add/Remove Programs has found all the programs we have installed on the PC, we want to go to the left-hand dialog box and pick Add/Remove Programs, because Outlook Express is an integral part of Windows. It's a Windows component. So we click on there, and it will read the Windows components that have been installed.

We need to scroll down until we find Outlook Express. And there it is. To reinstall it is simply a matter of ticking the check-box and clicking Next, and waiting for the PC to do its thing.

It takes no time at all, and now Outlook Express is reinstalled to our PC, and can be configured as you would any of your email clients. So that's how you install Outlook Express, having removed it.
