How To Remove Chewing Gum From A Carpet
In the video, a cleaning expert shows you how to remove chewing gum out of a carpet. She shows you very detailed step-by-step instructions on how to make it look like there was never a chewing gum in your carpet in the first place, no matter how old or new it may be.
One of the messiest things to remove from your carpet is chewing gum. There is an easy way to this. What you need to do is to take an ice pack.
If you don't have an ice pack, you can use some ice cubes and put them into a plastic sandwich bag and tie the top up. So, what we are going to do is freeze the chewing gum to make it all brittle and hard so that you can pull the chewing gum off. Scrape it off with a knife, and I'm going to remove the chewing gum.
Now, you put the ice pack on the chewing gum, and the longer you leave it on, the better. Now, we start to pick off the chewing gum. When it is at a fairly pliable state, you can use it in the same way you would use blue tape where you have a small piece and you start to dab it onto the other piece and it gradually works its way off.
You may have to have several goes at this, depending on how long the gum has been on the carpet, but persevere because it does work. The older the chewing gum is, the longer you will need to leave the ice on there. If there is any residue left over at the end, you can take some warm, soapy water and a small nail brush and gently pick at it and it will come off.
That's how you remove chewing gum from a carpet. .
