this video is so bad. dont folllow the advice on this. i watched this and tried it and almost destoyed my eyes and had no success. and then i found kittyknights and lavenders comment saying..."put your chin on your chest the colour part of you eye moves up with out having to look, then slide your lense to the outer corner of your eye the lense will slightly bunch up naturally making it so much easier to simply pop it out.." anyway, this way totally works. i held my chin to my cheast and looked in the mirror to slide the contact to outside corner of eye and i used my middle finger to pull my lower lid down and used my thumb and index to pinch the contact, making sure not to touch colored part of eye. contacts came out 1st try.

Thank You very much! This video is very helpful! Tip: Just try your best removing the contact lens in one try so that it won't irritate your eyes.

The procedure explained for contact lens and precautions noted is very easy and explained in an order.I would add a point to this, first finish taking lens from one eye and then go for other because if in case open both the lids and place it in incorrect box a new problem arises. Never take risk and Thank You for the gudiance :)

i've been trying to get lenses out for the first time for almost 12 hours... i've tried everything... ieven the video... i read this, and they came right out.. less then a minute... so i'm reposting " kittyknight (506 days ago) I'm a certified ophthalmic assistant and I beg of you not to follow the instructions in this video. You shouldn't look up, you should have your chin tucked into your chest and look into the mirror. You should slid the contact down off the cornea first and pinch right under the colored part of the eye. The method shown risks damage to both the cornea and the sclera. " THANK YOU!!!!

This is BRILLIANT THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was struggling in the opticians to take them out, what should have been a 10 minute practice took an hour, with this technique I took them out in 9 seconds, I am so happy it worked. I should promote this technique to the opticians, it is much better than theirs.

I tried this way several times, but then I read the comments from Kittyknight and Lavenderfairyspeks and did it their way. Their way was even better. It took less than 1 minute to remove the contact lenses..and safer!
