This is the most direct method of getting the lens out of the eye - its a plucking motion really here. There is another method that avoids touching and hence scratching the lens. This method is a bit like picking up a cup on a wet surface. It creates a popping / vacuum sound. This is created by putting 2 fingers on the corner of the eyelid near the nose of the nominated eye. Then with the eye open wide push the eyelids in and along away from the nose to the far corner, move the eye to look in the socket away from your nose and blink at the last moment. If you can do this a pop is created and the lens sits there in the eye lashes. This is not easy. It took me ages to get this correct. You need dryish fingers to create a good pressure with the fingers and no slipping. Its benefit it is your finger nails dont go anywhere near the lens you dont touch your eye

l am just being instructed by my contact lens on how to insert and remove them. l found this video helpful, however, l am told to use my other hand to roll the upper lid up to give me more area. l notice that you did not.Also when removing the lens you tend to remove it by lossing one side. Once again, another method.

The video was helpful but it still took me another 3 hours to remove the ***** lens from a now very sore red eye! At one stage I couldn't even feel if the lens was still in and couldn't see it face on - it helped to put my eye close to a mirror side on and gently push the side of the lens til it sort of creased when I finally got it out! First day but I'm relectant to try again now...

Big problem for me. I wear the lens for the first time. I put the right one easily but the left eye refused to be mine and it was a fight between me and this naughty eye. i was so scared to take them out. But i found my own way by touching the lense and slide the lense slightly to the corner of your eye-towards your ear. Make sure some of the lense is on the white bit and pinch out. a method after a long while, works for me.

you dont have to look up to remove ur contact lenses. just look into the mirror, place ur fingers firm on your eye, but not too hard. and then from the corners of the contact lenses, slowly push it to the middle, it's easier that way. and it doesnt hurt, so dont worry
