How To Remove Ice Cream Stains From Clothes
Get to know this simple trick for getting ice cream stains out of your clothes. No harsh cleaners needed! Eat your ice cream treat with peace of mind!
Step 1: You Will Need
- Spoon or Dull Knife
- Light-Colored Cloths
- Dishwashing Liquid
Step 2: The Scoop
Anything in excess is bad, right? Well, that's debatable when it comes to ice cream BUT when it's ice cream on your clothing, it stands true. Get rid of any excess ice cream by simply scooping it up with a spoon or dull knife. Work from the outside inward to avoid spreading the stain.
Step 3: Inside Out
When possible, work from the inside out. This helps the stain to lift off of the fabric instead of through the fabric. Fold a light-colored cloth and place it underneath the stain to prevent the stain from spreading to more fabric.
Step 4: Dish It Out
Use a solution of clear or white dishwashing liquid and lukewarm water on the stain. Stay away from products with added perfumes, moisturizers or bleaches. Simply blot the solution with a light-colored cloth. If this works, you can launder the item as usual.
Step 5: Consider Ingredients
If the stain hasn't disappeared yet, consider the ingredients of the ice cream and treat them accordingly.
