When you spill something, to avoid creating a stain, remember treat it immediately. If you spill oil or grease on the floor, like we're doing just now, remember to immediately tap it with some paper tissue and then use baking powder to absorb the stain. Leave the baking powder for at least an hour.
It can soak up all the grease and oil. While we're waiting for the baking powder to absorb the grease stain from the carpet, I'm going to show you how to clean a poppy accident on the carpet. To do that, always dab the stain.
So you can imagine this is a poppy accident, over the stain, put some paper. To clean the poppy accident, we need an equal amount of soapy water and vinegar, so about the same. Dab the stain and just clean it several times.
Then using a white cloth, make sure it dries the excess liquid. The vinegar will absorb the smell and the soapy water will clean the fibers of the carpet. To treat non-oil based carpet stains, put a spoonful of water detergent into a glass and then add an equal part of vinegar, of white vinegar.
Then using a cloth, after you've dabbed the stain with paper, dab or brush it off with the towel or the brush soaked into this liquid and then finish off with a towel soaked in just water. It's been an hour since we've added the baking powder on top of the grease stain and now, we're going to see what happened. This is how to green clean stains from carpet. .
