How To Remove Waterproof Eye Liner

A makeup artist gives you some tips on removing waterproof eyeliner.

Hi, I'm Faye from simplyfaye dot co dot uk. I've been a makeup artist for 20 years and I'm going to give you some tips on how to apply makeup. In this video, I'm going to show you how to remove waterproof eyeliner.

Now, there are many ways that you can remove waterproof eyeliner but you really need to use something that is specifically for removing waterproof eyeliner. I personally like these cotton buds where you can snap off the end and they are actually loaded with eye makeup remover. If you can't get hold of these, you can use a normal cotton bud and you can dip it into an eye makeup remover.

So, most shops do eye makeup removers. Boots do them, you can go to a lot of makeup counters in the store and they'll do them, so you don't have to spend a lot of money and if you're really short and really desperate, you can always use something like olive oil which is a natural remover because what you have to bear in mind is that most waterproof eyeliners are sort of oil-based. So, olive oil would do the trick as well.

So with these, I'm going to snap the end off and as you can see, the product has gone down into the tip of the end and I'm going to bring the bud over onto my model's eye and I'm just going to run it along where the eyeliner has been applied and because she's got waterproof eyeliner inside, I'm just going to run it inside her eye. You have to be very gentle with this area and maybe do it a couple of times to remove all the excess. It's also important to remember, use a different cotton bud for each eye because you don't want to cross-infect the eyes if there is any bacteria in the eye.

And that's how to remove waterproof eyeliner. .
