How To Remove White Wine Stains From Clothes

It is a known fact that white wine removes red wine stains. But, here you can find out how to get rid of those white wine stains without any harsh cleaners.

Step 1: You Will Need

  • light-colored cloths
  • club soda

Step 2: Stain Removal 101

Always treat any stain as soon as you can. When possible, work from the inside out. This helps the stain to lift off of the fabric instead of through the fabric. Fold a light-colored cloth and place it underneath the stain to prevent the stain from spreading to more fabric. Work in an area that is well lit. White wine stains can be hard to see on any fabric.

Step 3: Blot The Spot

Soak up any excess moisture from the spill. It's important to lightly blot the stain and not to scrub too hard or you will end up with a fuzzy, frayed spot that ends up more noticeable than the stain itself.

Step 4: Cool Runnings

Rinse with cool running water until all the wine is flushed from the fabric. Club soda works great too if you happen to have some around.

Step 5: Warm Wash

Throw the item in the washer or hand wash, depending on the care instructions on the label. Use the warm water cycle (NOT HOT). Make sure all stains are removed before drying the item.
