Hi, I'm Danny from PC Paramedics, and today I'll be showing you how to remove XP Antivirus 2008 and XP Antivirus 2009. XP Antivirus 2008 and 2009 are very authentic looking programs which advertise to be marks of themselves, but they're actually pieces known as spyware. Spyware is a certain form of virus.

The main aim of these particular antiviruses, which have installed themselves onto your system without your knowing, is to act as if you have many more viruses and will asks with some sort of payment to pay to remove these viruses from your system. As said earlier this program is actually a virus in itself, and today I will be showing you how to go about removing this particular virus. There are two main different ways, I'll talk you through the first one, which is the easiest, if available at the time.

The first way is to click START and entering the Control Panel, like so. Add or Remove Programs from the list, which will open up and populate all of your programs on your PC. Going down this list if you find any that relate to XP Antivirus 2008 or XP Antivirus 2009 they will generally be situated towards the bottom of the list, being in alphabetical order.

If you find one, which I haven't managed to do today. If you click on one and click the option to remove. Failing that; if that doesn't particularly work for yourself, we come out of those and run the Malware program which we installed before.

We can click on Malware, Anti-malware, open that up. Once open perform full system scan and scan. This will then scan for any viruses or spyware attempts on your system and will generally pick the XP Antivirus 2008 and 2009, and remove those automatically from your system.
