How To Replace The LCD On A Nokia 7373

Step 1: Changing the screen:

Today we are going to change the LCD on a Nokia 7373.

As you can tell this one is looking pretty sorry and it’s in a desperate need of a change. You can also use the same procedure for changing the lines, as you will see we are going to take that off first of all.

Step 2: Remove battery and sim.

Right, first of all power down your phone, get out the battery because you don't want to accidentally telephone while you are messing around with it. Okay that's out remove same with the sim card to avoid any accidental damage. Okay so I shall note it down.

Step 3: Remove the top housing:

Now to remove the top housing: And then go to the other side, get me a pair of teasers to help pull it away. Once this is off, even though this is a bit tricky case, as you can it is now starting to come off. Good, Good push with your fingernails, go easy because you will see the twisty end of the front is a little bit sensitive, give it a bit of woolly, can use teasers, use it to help pop the case off as you go along. Well if you are lucky enough use Nokia SR26. Like I said this are very tricky to go, as you can see it is slowly and now you can see it has come off.

Step 4: Remove the screen:

Okay, so we take the screen off. So we will show you how to do, at this point now you have got the top cover off, this looks quite difficult but actually it is quite easy. Get your teasers in, give it a good push, you know the pop is written off here, don’t actually damage it because it is connected to a ribbon and like most things they are trained to change. Just get underneath that, as you can see with the pliers, teasers whatever and gently give a push. as you can see, get under that as the screen is already damaged so if there is an brisk with it, it is not going to be end of the world, but you will see there is a circuit board underneath it so you don't want to necessarily want to damage that, but as you can see there isn't a whole lot on it.

Step 5: The circuit board:

As you now see the LCD is attached at the top here by one smaller ribbon, just gently give a pop. Just pop the circuit board back in the phone reattaches the ribbon. Now you got the board back in the phone, you want to get the LCD out of the frame, again very easily just use your thumbs and a little bit of tug inside, out it pops. As you can see, no longer need it put it aside.

Step 6: Put on new screen:

Okay, get your LCD from any decent parts supply including us, out of the packet; pop it into your frame after removing the protector. You see gently flick it into place like I said. Pop it into place, as you see this little bit that comes out there and then gently, what you might need to do just get in there with a pair of teasers in the gap pop the LCD down with you thumb or teasers see as you will see it is well connected, just follow up pushing the frame down.

Step 7: Thanks for watching:

So we now get by even with the old one or the new one, this is a piece of cake, just pack it back on. As you can see gently push it back into place. Pop your battery back in power it up and as you can see pretty nice looking Nokia 7373. That is how you change the LCD in Nokia 7373.
