Step 1: Opening the Magellan Maestro 4250

Begin by removing the 4 rubber caps on the back of the device to reveal the 4 screws beneath. Remove the 4 screws using the Phillips screwdriver provided in your kit from NewPower99.com . Use the included plastic shim tool to carefully pry apart the front from the back of your Magellan.

Step 2: Accessing the Magellan Maestro 4250 Battery

Pry up the hinged plastic ribbon cable connector to release the ribbon cable allowing you to open the cover. Remove the two screws securing the circuit board. Pry up circuit board revealing the battery

Step 3: Removing the Original Magellan Maestro 4250 Battery

Place the extended life battery from Newpower99.com in the same position and orientation as the removed battery. You may wish to used two sided tape or a mild adhesive to fix the battery in place. Plug in the connector as originally found.

Charge the Maestro 4250 replacement battery for at least two hours. Turn unit on. It should work perfectly.
