How To Reset Your iPod

On the rare occasion that your iPod locks up, follow these simple steps to reset it. Make sure that you know exactly how to reset your iPod so you don't go without your favourite tunes for too long.

You Will Need


Step 1:

Lock And Unlock

On the top of your iPod, slide the hold button to the "on" position. You will know it's on when you can see orange.

Then, slide the hold button back to the "off" position.

Step 2:

Reset

Simultaneously hold down the Menu button and the center of the click wheel until you see the Apple logo in the iPod display.

When you see the Apple logo, release both buttons.

Consider your iPod reset.

Wow, it is so amazing.. My new ipod nano got stuck up for 6 hours and after I did these steps, it works again. It really helps me. Thank you very much, Video Jug!

my 2gb silver ipod says enter code the code is 4 didgit we do not know it and do not know why this has appeared please help to guess a 4 didgit code will take100000 plus attemps there must be a simple way

my ipod aint got a hold button to reset it and there is a egg timer stuck on the the screen all the time . can somebody help me please ?????

My brother and wife were in the hospital having a baby and their ipod with their calming "labor" music locked up. I happened to call between contractions & he told me the news. A)Having baby B) no music, ipod dead. Bad bad thing With the information from videojug we were able to reset his ipod & (no songs were lost!!!!) they were able to have music for the rest of the birthing process. very very cool. Thank you videojug

hello i want to know how to find the search menu on my ipod video i can't find it anywhere and i have the same version than my wife's ipod and she can see that menu easy please help thanks

my Ipod nano got stuck up. i followed instructions in the video. in 45 seconds it was back to normal. iam happy now.
