Restringing your electric guitar – obviously, this happens quite a lot. Strings break all the time so don't be alarmed. They all have their natural lifespan.
Especially if you're doing a lot of strumming, they break quite easily. So the first thing you're going to do is thread the string through the saddle and then across the bridge. Then you're going towards the tuning head here.
One thing you want to be really sure of is that you loop it in the same direction as the other strings are going. Otherwise, you'll end up having to tune one tuning head, one way to go up, and the others, the other which can get really confusing. So you loop it around the tuning head.
So now, that should stay in position. Another feature that you really want to be aware of is when you put a new string on, basically, there's a lot of stretch in it, so over a period of time, it'll keep going out of tune and you'll wonder why. So you've got to keep pulling it a little bit like this to try and get rid of any extra leeway there is in it.
