How To Ride A Street Bike
Here, VideoJug covers the highlights and drawbacks of a street bike. This would be a tremendous asset to those who take the trains or cabs wherever they go.
Street bike - this could be described as a street bike. It's a Brompton. It's a folding bike.
Generally speaking, not going to use this for two week tours or for long rides, but for shorter journeys to and from the station, to the shops, that kind of thing, so, hence the term street bike. Street bike will always come with mud guards which you want, so any splash from the road, if there are any puddles on the road, if it's raining, the tires aren't going to spray water onto your trousers or onto your skirt or whatever. They normally come with sort of, caliper brakes like this one here.
And on this bike here, they've improved the brakes. They've got dual pivot brakes on there now so you've got super stopping power, flat pedals so that you can use any type of shoe. You don't need a specialized shoe for it.
You can just use your ordinary shoes. I'm going to ride a street bike now. You're not looking for speed now, so I've got more of an upright position, so I can see the traffic more easily.
I can see of the tops sometimes of the cars if I'm on the side of the road. I'm looking for something which is comfortable but not racy, so I can get on it easily, pedal away easily, stop in the traffic and this suits my purposes, ideally. It's very stable.
It's got sort of good tires on it, nice brakes, good position, and it's very comfortable to ride along the roads. And, of course, on a wet day like it is today, well, a bit gloomy, is that my clothes are protected from all the dirt that's coming off the roads. One thing I really feel safe on these bikes is that the brakes are so good.
They've really improved them on these bikes. Secondly, the tires are superb. I've had these tires now, for over a year, and I've never had one puncture in them. .
