Hi, my name is Ricardo Macedo, and I'm here today to give some good tips and tell you how to do some exercise. We are in my gym in Kensington, London, W8, and you can find us on our website www.r-fitness.

co.uk. So, come with me and we're going to show you some tips.

Here we go. How to run a half marathon. Let's assume you did all the preparations and all the training you needed.

So, you've done your carb loading, you know the route, you hydrated, you've got all your drink set, you've got all your gear ready and now you're on the starting line. So make sure you are with the group you should be. You don't want to be with advanced groups, too fast groups, groups that are going to start at speed from the beginning to the end.

You want to be at your own level. Nothing stops you from joining a group, but keep in mind, if you don't have the preparation for it, if you don't have the fitness level, soon you're going to fall back and everybody's going to take you over. You're going to be out of breath, you're going to feel tired and sluggish and slow, and you don't want that at the beginning.

A half marathon is a long process so make sure you keep a nice pace all the way through. If you keep a nice pace, your own pace that you're comfortable with, at the end, you're going to have gas to sprint and make the best of a 200 meters or maybe a mile. Take that into consideration and remember you're not running against the other competitors, you're running against yourself.

Marathon itself is a challenge, a half marathon nevertheless is no less challenge. You go through the steps. Maybe starting at 5K, maybe starting with 10K, then upgrading to a half marathon, it's a huge achievement.

So, take those facts into consideration and put everything in place, do your own pace, do your best to try to break your own time. All the best, good luck, maybe I'll see you on the finish line. .
