How To Run Faster In Soccer

In this video, a professional fitness trainer explains to viewers how they can achieve faster sprinting through interval training. He performs the workouts and guarantees results in one week!

I'm going to talk to you about how to run faster in soccer. With soccer, you're jogging all the time and you have these bursts of speed ranging five to ten meters, so there is no point on doing one hundred meter sprints. It's not relevant to the game.

Your training should be based on short explosive bursts of speed like I'm going to demonstrate now. There are two key things to look at regarding my form. Firstly, my arms are swinging very powerfully.

This is to help drive my body forward. Secondly, my legs, I'm reaching out with each stride trying to grab the floor and throw it back behind me. This helps to propel myself forward.

The key is to replicate what happens on the football field. So I'm recommending interval training. That is jogging for approximately 2 minutes and then sprinting very quickly for five seconds and then jogging again, then sprinting.

If you do that for about ten minutes, you'll be knackering and it's really relevant to what you're going to be doing when you're playing. Another thing to think about is how often you do it. The more you train, the better.

It's not like weights, where you have to take rest days. Do it every single day and you'll see improvements within a week. Another thing to remember, half the time when you're on the field, you're going to run fast with the ball.

So there is no point just being a great sprinter because you'll have no foot control. So, practice sprinting with the ball in front of you. And those are just some tips to help you run faster in soccer. .
