The Nintendo Wii has developed games and activities to get the whole family involved. In this video, you will get instructions on how to send and receive messages from your Nintendo Wii console.
Interesting little feature on the Wii – what I'm going to talk about is how you can send messages to other people who've also got the same console. Now, to do this, you need to exchange information in real life and the information you need to exchange is a Wii code. To find that number, all you have to do, turn your console on.
Using the remote, select your message board area. Now, this is where new messages will arrive, that, and you can see which messages you've sent. Some of those will be from Nintendo themselves.
Some of those will be achievements you've had in games. Also, if you set some of your friends up, some of those might be email-like messages that have come from your friends. To find your number, you need to select the create message icon and go over to the address book.
As you can see, your console's Wii number, sixteen digits are displayed there so you need to make a note of that number and email it to a friend who's also got a Wii. Get them to do the same. When you've received a number back from someone else who's got a Wii, what you do, on the same screen, click register and then, select the Wii console button.
This enables you to enter your friend's number. Once you've done that on this screen, it will then ask you to select me to associate with that friend and also, a nickname. So, when you receive a message from them, their character will pop up, as well as their name and you'll be able to respond.
You can send messages to each other but you can also send pictures from the photo channel. So, it's a really great way to get a little bit more functionality and fun out of your Wii. What you've done is go into your address book, found your own console number, made a note of it, and sends it to a friend.
Click register. Enter that number. Then, select a me character and a nickname.
And that's all you need to do to be sending messages to your friends on that Nintendo Wii. .
