To play games with other people over the internet, you need to have a code for each particular game. Now, this is different to the friend code that you set up on your Wii console, it's slightly shorter in length and it's a different one that you'll be given each time you start a new game's online features. So, here is 16-digit code for your Wii but this is different from the code you'll get when you want to play a particular game with other people online.
So, here is a particular game, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, we'll start by pressing any button. Now, to play online, we need to pick the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection option here, and then say, yes, connect Nintendo WFC that stands for the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and it's just the global network that Nintendo uses to connect you to other players online. So once you are connected online, you have two options.
You can play with friends or you can play with anybody. If you want to play with a particular friend, you need to have exchanged a code for this particular game. So, you go in and select that option and you go down to friend roster.
Here you'll have the option to add one of your friend's numbers. You just select it, put the number in, click go and both you and your friend will be connected. Your friend will need to do the same on their game, as you've done on your game.
So now, you and your friend have exchanged friend codes, you can enjoy playing against each other over the internet. .
