Sharing is a good thing. Sharing your playlists with other people on a home or office network using iTunes is a very good thing. Follow these easy steps to learn how to share your iTunes Music on a network if you have a Mac.

Step 1: You Will Need

iTunes

Step 2: Launch iTunes

Click on the iTunes icon in your dock to launch the program.

Step 3: Set Your Preferences

Go up to the iTunes menu and choose Preferences.

Step 4: Share Your Music

When the dialog box opens, click on the Sharing icon at the top of the dialog box. Check the box for Share My Library On My Local Network. If you don't want to share all your playlists, you can de-select the playlists that you want to keep private. When you are finished making your selections, click OK.
