How To Skateboard For Beginners
A helpful beginner's guide to skateboarding- what you need and how to start up your skateboarding career!
Hello I'm Bryce Cambell I'm a skateboarder of ten years, I ride for Gravis Shoes and we are going to look at skateboarding for beginners. Now first of all you want to choose the more appropriate board for what you want to do, If you're envisioning going fast down hills it might be long boards that your going to be looking at, if you are thinking that trick skateboarding or street skateboarding or something you want to do, then you'll be looking at a generic short board, which is you know the most popular type of skate board. Also, you need to look at your environment, where you want to go? There's usually skate parks in most suburbs, town, cities and if you're not in a city and you're somewhere rural then finding some nice flat concrete space that's smooth and is going to allow you to be able to push is going to be good for you and help you progress.
Now shoes are probably second most important thing in skate boarding you're wanting a flat-soled shoe that's relatively thin on the sole which is going to allow you to have a true feeling on your board which is quite important. It's also going to need to have a nice kind of rubber exterior and you are going to need to be prepared to go through a lot of shoes, as the wear and tear is quite quick so that comes with the terrain. Now skate boarding for a beginner can possibly seem quite a tedious task but if you persist you will start to know your body and balance and start to work it out so yeah just keep on pushing and you'll get there.
