Step 1:
-
Tricks
-
You just can't be a pro skater unless you go big all the time. If you're holding back, no one will accept you as a pro skater in something that competitive and that hardcore. Half- measures gain nothing.
-
Up and comers need to learn the basics first. Learn to control your board, learn to have control over your board, learn how to do basic things like carving, going fast, grinding, and balancing on the nose and tail of your board.
-
To be a pro skater, you have to skate everyday. Skate as much as you can physically handle. If you want to be in physically peak condition you have to train.
-
Step 2:
-
Personality And Style
-
Your skateboarding can reflect your personality, and vice versa. Being pro on and off the board is really important. Also, it's important to have versatility, maturity, and intelligence, along with ability on the board.
-
Pro-riders need to be more than just a good skateboarder. They need to be confident and not cocky. Pro-riders should be able to relate to their fans and the people they work with and not be totally controlled by ego.
-
Step 3:
-
Passion
-
Skateboarders are one of the toughest breeds of athlete in the world. If you're not passionate, there's no way you can be a pro-skateboarder. You have to have that passion for skateboarding in order to be a pro.
-
Go out and skate tough.
