Spinach is a vegetable containing iron, vitamins and various minerals. This video shows you how to quickly cook a healthy yet tasty steamed spinach dish.
So, steamed spinach. Into a hot pan, add some sesame seeds (two tablespoons), a dry hot pan, and just toast those off until they go a nice golden colour. And then, into a hot frying pan, dry pan, no oil, put in some washed spinach (500 grams).
Add a little splash of sesame oil (one teaspoon). Some seasoning - salt, pepper. Cover with a lid.
Keep the lid on for just two minutes and it is the lid that is steaming the spinach. So, you do not need any oil or any water apart from the washed spinach. Give that a toss for about thirty seconds, take that off the heat.
Squeeze the spinach, put it on a plate. Add a sprinkling of the toasted sesame seeds. Steamed spinach.
So, let us go through that one more time. 500 grams of spinach washed into a dry pan, a dash of sesame oil. In another hot pan, dry some sesame seeds until they are golden.
Put a lid on top of the spinach and just steam for thirty seconds. Then, squeeze the spinach, remove the pan, onto a nice plate. And then, dress with your toasted sesame seeds. .
