Emotional eating is a common problem faced by people of various ages. Certified hypnotherapist, Ben Huss, shows how to stop emotional eating by following certain therapeutic guidelines.
Hello! I'm Ben Huss. I'm a certified hypnotherapist. And I'm going to show you tools and techniques to help you unlock your potential.
I'm going to tell you how to stop emotional eating. Think of a time when your emotions caused you to eat. What was that emotion? What was causing that feeling? Get in touch with that feeling.
Where did you feel it in your body? Does it have a color? Maybe has a color. Maybe it's like something. Now, when you feel this feeling, on a scale of 1 to 10, how strong is it? One being not very strong at all and ten being really intense feeling, give it a number.
In a moment, we're going to begin tapping some points in our fingers. Tap along with me and say what I say. Tap along here.
Even though I have this feeling, say that you totally love and accept yourself. Now, tap the head. This feeling, focusing on that feeling, this feeling, inside of the eye, says Ben.
Say “I deserve to let this go. It is safe to let this go.” Now, take a deep breath in and out.
And again, take another deep breath in, and out. Good. Now when you think of that feeling, maybe it's changed shape or color.
Maybe in intensity, it's gone down. Any change is good. Repeat this step a couple of times and let it go down to zero.
