How To Stop On A Motorbike
To ride a motorcycle can be much fun and knowing how to stop efficiently is important. Here's how to stop on a motorbike.
How to stop a motorcycle? Once you're riding along on your bike and you've been riding along quite happily and it's time to come to a stop, there are two main brakes on these machines. First of all, you've got the front brake. That is hand controlled, that is here, the lever here, pull in that lever, and that front wheel will brake.
You don't want to pull that front brake too hard, because if the front brake locks up, you could find yourself going over the handle bars. The next brake to use is the back brake, the rear brake on this machine is a pedal operated brake, you operate it with your foot, and you push it down, and that locks up the back wheel of the bike and brakes the machine with that. You need to use both of these brakes in conjunction together, really.
Pull in the clutch on the machine once you've finished riding along, and you're still in gear, pull in the clutch, pull on the brake, put your foot on the back brake, and the machine will come to a halt. Let's see that in action on the trail. .
