We're down at LCB Surf, Snow, and Skate in London. We're going to talk about how to stop on a skateboard. It's a very important thing to learn because once you learn how to start, you need to learn how to stop.
As you can see, there's no brakes on this. So you probably are wondering how you stop. Falling off is one of the options but, there is also another option.
Which is just to pull your back foot off, and scrape it across the ground which will allow you to slow down slowly. So we're going to look at how to do that. It's very similar to pushing except you are putting your foot down and having some resistance against the concrete which in turn should slow you down to a gradual stop.
So as you can see. Very simple way of stopping. Effective and will allow you to get both feet off of the board.
The other way of stopping is by dragging the tail which is very similar except it can be a bit quicker to stop that way. So we'll have a look at that. So apply pressure on the tail and stop.
