Hi. I would like to show you how to straighten your hair extensions today. If you have a lot of hair extensions in your hair, the best way would be to creep the top part of your hair up and to start straightening from the bottom.

If your hair is still wet from washing, just make sure you dry it properly. Don't ever straighten your hair on wet hair, it's not good for the hair, it can always damage very easily. Just always be careful with the hair, be gentle.

Okay, you could clip the bottom like that. Hair extensions, basically, you could use any heat protector, any leave-in conditioner, any product on hair extensions. But please remember do not put any conditioning sprays or any oils on the roots where the hair extensions are attached.

You can still spray it, I like to use a bit of heat protector. Comb the hair, just don't spray directly on the roots, just spray a little bit, comb in. Don't do it too much, otherwise the hair can be too greasy afterwards.

Take a section of the hair, you can use a comb as well, if it's easier for you to get through. Just gently go through, just like that. Then you just go section after section, nice and smooth.

Don't go too quick especially if the hair is naturally very frizzy or very curly and you want it very straight. But it's not really recommended to go too slow, because most of the straighteners nowadays are very hot, so just don't overheat your hair. Heat is the main damaging tool - I mean to say that straighteners could be the main damaging tool if you overuse it.

Just make sure you're gentle and you don't overuse it. Just do it section by section. When you have hair extensions in and they've really grown down a little bit, say after a couple of months, make sure you don't hold the straighteners, rest the straighteners directly on the bones, on the attachments, just go a little bit lower than the attachment so there's not the damage there to the attachment.

The bottom bit is straight now, so we can unclip the top. My model's got a lot of hair so I would like to make another section, maybe do it in three rounds. I'm just spraying a little bit, just the ends, that's where we need most of the protection because the hair there normally gets dry quicker, thus we need to protect against the sun, against the straighteners, against the heat.

Just make sure you don't go directly on the hair extensions. Don't touch the attachments. If some strands need a bit more straightening, you can just go back.

The best way is just to get the strand, just trickle down the strand. Let the section fall down before you go over it again. It's easier this way.

Most of the time, the overheated section of the hair doesn't really let you straighten again very well. It doesn't do anything, even if you straighten it over and over. Just leave an undone section, you can go back to it in a few minutes then.

It's relatively easy. It takes a bit more work if you have naturally frizzy hair. It takes a bit more time.

But that's pretty much the technique. And that was how to straighten your hair extensions. .
