How To Stretch The Sartorius Muscle

Today, I'm going to show you how to stretch your sartorius muscle. The sartorius muscle is the longest muscle in the body and runs all the way down your quad muscles here, down your thigh. And after a workout, the best way to stretch it is to do a standing quad stretch.
So, using something to balance on, grab your foot like so, keeping the knees together, and standing with knees slightly bent, body nice and tall and you push your hips forward, pulling your heel against your buttocks until you get a nice stretch, making sure you keep those knees close together. Okay, there's also a better way to stretch is if you're lucky enough to have someone that you train with. So, I'm going to show you an assisted sartorius stretch as well.
So, with an assisted sartorius stretch, you lie on your front, on the mat like so, nice and relaxed, and your partner bends the knee like so. And underneath the knee, pick the knee up slightly, push the heel down towards the buttocks until they say stop and you just hold that for about 8 to 10 seconds and then same on the other leg. So, whether you're by yourself, or you're training with a partner, that's how you stretch your sartorius muscle. .
