How To Style Medium Layered Hair
Ladies with medium-layered hair may experience some difficulty in creating and maintaining a great hairstyle. In this VideoJug film, Peter Dragicevic of Glass Hair Salon shares some tips and tricks on how to style medium-layered hair.
I'm going to show you how to style medium-layered hair. If you've got lots of layers in your hair, you probably want a lot of texture and movement, and more body in the hair. To get more body, you need to really use a large round brush.
Make sure there are no tangles in the hair. It's a good idea to use a volumizing spray because it's the lightest form of volume you can get. Spray a little bit in the root area and at the hair shaft.
Make sure all the ends are tucked under nice and smooth. When you use your hair dryer, blow dry the underneath areas first to make sure to get that real lift in that area, then through the top, working down the hair shaft. You work in an upward motion.
If you're doing this yourself, it's easier to blow dry everything forward because you haven't got arms in the back of your head. It's a lot easier to do it in this direction. When you finish, you can leave your brush in the hair just until it cools down.
While you're heating the hair, the hairdryer styles the hair in the cooling-down process and makes it set. Once it's cooled down, you can take the brush out, and you have a lot more volume in that section of hair. Then you can just do that throughout your hairstyle.
Once you finish blow drying, if you want to create more texture on the ends, I would use a pomade. I'm using a dry pomade. It's basically like a really thick moisturizer for your hair.
It stops it from going fluffy. Make sure you put it through your hands first. Right from, right through.
You shouldn't see any product left. We're just going to take that through just to fill the ends. What it does as well is it actually makes you feel the layers as well when you put a styling product on the ends.
And that's how you can style medium-layered hair. Ladies with medium-layered hair may experience some difficulty in creating and maintaining a great hairstyle. In this VideoJug film, Peter Dragicevic of Glass Hair Salon shares some tips and tricks on how to style medium-layered hair.
