How To Subscribe To Podcasts In ITunes
This video shows you how to subscribe to a podcast using the iTunes store. Listen to your favourite podcasts time and time again with the help of iTunes.

Navigate iTunes

This is a short tutorial to show you how to subscribe to a podcast using iTunes.
Right now we are looking at the iTunes music store and this is what most of you should see immediately when you open iTunes.

Subscribe To Your Podcast

And the quickest way to subscribe to a podcast is to go to the advanced menu up on the top of the iTunes window.
Click on the advanced menu. Then choose subscribe to podcast.

Download Your Podcast

That will open a window and then once that window is open, you want to enter the address of a podcast RSS feed. In this case, I am going to enter the address for my a billion voices podcast which is feeds.feedburner.com/abillion voices.
Then you click OK and iTunes will immediately check the feed and it might even start downloading. You can see it says downloading a billion voices No. 7 which is the latest show. I can right click and I can select update podcast at any time. I can select show description and it will show me a description of this particular podcast.

Modify Your Podcast Preferences

I can give it a rating if I want. It's my podcast, so I won't give it five stars, I will give it four stars. So now I am subscribed so everytime I open iTunes this should update automatically. If I go to view options, I can select some of the different things that I will see while I am looking at the podcast window.
I can also go to preferences and select podcasts and I can set some basic preferences here so check for new episodes every hour, every day, every week or manually. When new episodes are available, what should it do? Download the most recent one? Download everything or do nothing? The default is set to download the most recent one.

Manage Your Podcasts

There are also some settings that help you to manage the media files that you have stored on your computer. In this case, you can keep all episodes or you can choose to basically determine what episodes that you can keep on your computer.
Then you can also set some iPod preferences here, as well, if you happen to have an iPod. We can see that if we look at the status meter here for the download that the download is almost finished for the latest a billion voices podcast. You can also click on this eye here and that eye will also give me the description of the particular podcast as well.

So the podcast has been downloaded. I can right click it and I can mark it as play and I can also make some different selections there. And if I just double click it, the podcast will play. And so, it's that easy. That is subscribing to podcasts in iTunes.
