You might think taking a backcomb out of your hair would cause a lot of damage. Well, it doesn't. Lauralyn Clinton shows you how to take a backcomb out of your hair with no damage or discomfort.
Hi, and welcome to the Braiding Lodge Academy. My name is Lauralyn Clinton. We are going to be demonstrating some techniques on different hairstyles today on African hair and European hair.
I'm now going to show you how to take out a section of backcombed hair, the easy way. What you do is you hold the hair from the bottom, make sure there's strain at the roots, and you will start to brush it out lightly from the end, all the way up. There should be no problems.
Just brush the backcomb out of the hair. Take your time, don't rush it. That's one section completely nearly out.
I'll show you again. Start at the end. If this is done properly, it should cause no split ends, there should be no hair coming out and there should be no discomfort.
I'm going to show you one last time. Start from the end of the hair, make sure you hold the hair so it doesn't pull or yank from the root, it's all about personal comfort. Just teasing out the hair with a normal comb.
The hair was backcombed before, it's still silky, there you go. All done for you. So, there was an example of how to take out backcombed sections of hair, without causing damage to the hair. .
