How To Thread A Bobbin
Threading the bobbin on a sewing machine is an essential first step to sewing. This video shows you the basic way of threading the bobbin that can be used on any sewing machine.
Hi, my name is Aliza from Seam So Easy, www.seamsoeasy.com.
I have been sewing for fifteen years. Today, I am going to show you some techniques. Today, I am going to show you how to thread a bobbin for the machine.
So, here is my thread. It goes on the spool holder. Each machine will have a different way of threading up but the instructions are generally on top of the machine as well.
Otherwise if you look in your instruction manual, they will be on there. So for this machine, it goes on top like that. I take my thread and wrap it a few times.
Your machine will also give you a guide as to how it should thread. So, your thread should come from behind and wrap around that way. Push your bobbin holder spool out and release your needle.
This will stop the machine needle from going up and down as we press our foot down. As the bobbin threads, you notice how the thread goes up and down. You need to make sure your needle is, your bobbin is winding that way otherwise it won't unwind properly when it is being fed through the machine.
The machine will stop automatically, so just keep your foot on the pedal until it stops. Push button, hold it back, pull it out. You need your needle again.
That is how you wind the bobbin. .
