Face painting is a fun activity for both adults and children alike. This video offers very short and to-the-point guide of how to host your own face painting party.
Hello. My name is Kat Sinclair. I'm a Professional Face Painter.
I've been painting for eight years. I'm going to show you some tips, tricks and techniques for doing your own face painting at home. I'm going to show you how to throw a face panting party.
The first thing I need to show you is what equipment you need and then I'm going to tell you about the health and safety. So if you'll come with me, let's have a look at the equipment. These are professional face painting paints.
They are all hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested. It's very important so that you know they won't cause allergies. Over here, we have some sponges and these are used to put the paint on the face and then you'd need water to mix the paint with and then some glitter to make it look pretty afterwards and last but not least a mirror so that they can see what you have done to them.
Before you start painting, it's very important to make sure that you are comfortable. You need to be able sit up straight in the chair so that you don't get backache at the end of the day. And don't be afraid to tell the child to sit up straight as well.
They only have to sit there for a couple of minutes. You've got to sit there for a long time. And also make sure that there's nothing wrong with their skin before you start.
There are a lot of skin diseases that you could pass on if you are not careful, like ringworm, conjunctivitis and specially make sure that the children don't have any cuts on their face because bacteria can be introduced through the paint and it would infect their skin. So those are the things to look out for and that's how to throw a face painting party. .
